My training for the Spartan has consisted of A LOT of boot camp and kick boxing, supplemented by special training for the obstacles and learning to run properly. My hands are covered in blisters from the pull-up bars, my elbows have raw patches on them from crawling and my shins have scars from the rope – but I LOVE every minute of it. It is incredibly satisfying to challenge your body to try new things – things that you may not be able to do the first, second or tenth time you try. Eventually though, when you can do it, you really feel that you have accomplished something, both mentally and physically. I am excited about this race and think that every member of the Pro-Fit Spartan team has worked hard to be ready to give it their personal best at Sun Peaks. Go team go (and focus on the after party!).
